Biography:

 

Dr. Shakiba is a lecturer and research scientist of the School of Information Technology, Monash University, Malaysia. He had his Master of IT and PhD in Computer Engineering from the National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 2012 and 2015. He was appointed as a Technical Executive and Research Assistant at the Engineering Faculty, UKM from 2011 to 2015. His research mainly focuses on RFID tag estimation methods and anti-collision algorithms. During his study he was the committee member of the IEEE UKM Student Branch and president of Iranian Students Association.

 

He is the co-founder of the Shakiba Data Processing Company and Shakiba Open Technical and Vocational Institute in the domain of Information Technology. Before he joined UKM in 2009, he was the CEO of the company and the Director of the institute for 7 years.

 

 

Research Interests:

 

RFID Technologies and Applications; RFID Tag Estimation Methods; Anti-Collision Algorithms; Internet of Things; Smart Cities; Wireless Sensor Networks; Research Tools.
